A table lamp turned from a single column of white oak, with a hand-rolled linen shade. 17 inches to the top of the shade — low enough for a side table, which is where lamps belong.
Cloth flex in the same olive as the mark, a brass in-line switch you can find in the dark, and a weighted base so it does not tip when the flex is pulled.
Takes a standard E26 bulb, not a proprietary module. When something fails in ten years it should be a bulb you can buy anywhere.

- Construction
- Column turned from one piece with the flex channel bored through before turning. Shade is rolled on a wooden former over a steel ring and hand-stitched at the seam. Brass lamp holder, in-line rocker switch at 60cm.
- How it ages
- The oak honeys and the linen shade yellows very slightly and evenly. The brass switch and holder go brown with handling, fastest at the switch.

Height is the floor or surface to the highest point. Width and length are the widest points across and along. Anything round states a diameter instead. Tolerance is a quarter inch on a machined dimension and half an inch on anything turned or thrown.
Care
- Dust the shade with a soft brush, never a damp cloth.
- Re-oil the column every couple of years.
- Unplug before changing a bulb.
Cautions
- Maximum 60W incandescent equivalent — use LED. A hot filament bulb in a linen shade this size is a fire risk.
- Not for bathrooms or anywhere damp.
- US plug and 120V components only. We do not ship an EU or UK version.
- The linen shade marks permanently if it gets wet.
