A shallow bowl turned from a single block of white oak, 9.5 inches across. Fruit, keys, whatever accumulates.
Turned wet and then dried slowly, which is why it is not perfectly round — a bowl turned from dry stock is round and costs four times as much. The slight oval is the process, and every one is different.

- Construction
- Rough-turned green, dried for four months, returned to final thickness. Foot is undercut so it sits on a ring rather than its whole base. Walls run about 6mm and are deliberately not uniform.
- How it ages
- Oak darkens; the inside darkens faster than the outside because that is where fruit sits. Expect it to go slightly further out of round in its first year in your house as it equalises to your humidity, then stop.

Height is the floor or surface to the highest point. Width and length are the widest points across and along. Anything round states a diameter instead. Tolerance is a quarter inch on a machined dimension and half an inch on anything turned or thrown.
Care
- Wipe out with a dry cloth. Damp only if it needs it, then dry immediately.
- Re-oil two or three times a year.
Cautions
- NOT dishwasher safe and not for soaking.
- Not for wet food or anything oily left standing — it is sealed with oil, not lacquer.
- Not perfectly round, and will not sit dead flat on glass.
