A washed linen throw in two sizes, with a hand-knotted fringe rather than a hem — a hem on a loose linen weave is the first thing to go.
Stonewashed before cutting so it arrives soft. It creases the moment you use it and it will never stop creasing; that is what washed linen is, and a linen that stays flat has a finish on it that washes out by the third cycle.

- Construction
- Plain weave, piece-washed, cut and knotted by hand — about 900 knots on the large. No hem, no overlocking, no machine fringe.
- How it ages
- Gets softer for about five years and then stays there. Expect it to shed a little in the first wash and to lose roughly 3% in length over the first three washes — the stated size is after washing, not before. Colour softens in sunlight, evenly.

Height is the floor or surface to the highest point. Width and length are the widest points across and along. Anything round states a diameter instead. Tolerance is a quarter inch on a machined dimension and half an inch on anything turned or thrown.
Care
- Machine wash cool on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent.
- Tumble dry low briefly to soften, then line dry — that combination gives the best hand.
- Do not bleach and do not use fabric softener; linen does not need it and it coats the fibre.
Cautions
- It creases. Permanently, by design. If you want a flat throw this is the wrong material.
- The knotted fringe will tangle in a washing machine with anything that has a hook or a zip — wash it alone.
- Olive is a deep shade and will transfer a little colour in the first wash.
