A 20 inch cushion in woven lambswool with a feather and down inner included — not a foam pad, and not sold as a cover you then have to fill.
Woven rather than knitted so the edge stays square instead of rolling, with a concealed brass zip along the bottom edge.

- Construction
- Woven on a dobby loom, cut and sewn with a 1cm seam and a concealed zip. Inner is a cotton cambric case, slightly oversized so the corners fill.
- How it ages
- Pills for the first month where it rubs — short fibre working out of a new wool weave. It stops on its own; take it off with a comb rather than a razor. Undyed softens to cream; the dyed colourways fade slightly and evenly in sunlight.

Height is the floor or surface to the highest point. Width and length are the widest points across and along. Anything round states a diameter instead. Tolerance is a quarter inch on a machined dimension and half an inch on anything turned or thrown.
Care
- Cover is dry clean only. Wool weave this weight will felt in a machine.
- Air it rather than washing it — most of what a cushion picks up is smell, not dirt.
- Inner can be tumbled on low to re-loft.
Cautions
- NOT machine washable. This is the instruction people ignore and it destroys the cover.
- Feather inner — not suitable if there is a down allergy in the house.
- Wool and moths. Do not store it in a warm dark cupboard all summer without protection.
